U2 new music
Before the launch of “Carnaval de Luz,” U2 has launched a trio of singles.
Up first is the fist-pumping anthem “Street Of Dreams,” which options an auto-tuned, angelic-sounding Bono until the tune hits a more acquainted register, marrying The Edge’s trademark strummy, measured guitar with Bono’s impassioned vocals. For our cash, it’s a highly effective rallying cry that also occurs to be a burst of pleasure.
“Silencio” is a bit more of a easy rocker with a punk streak working all through. Tempo adjustments from hard-charging to slowed-down quieter moments will maintain you on your toes questioning where U2 is going until the party-like refrain erupts. WARNING: you’ll be singing this one in the bathe for months.
That well-known U2 sound — where the six-string sounds like the pitter-patter of rain — permeates all through the beautiful “The Greatest Show On Earth.” By far the longest observe of the three singles, it’s a showstopper that builds rigidity until giving listeners a candy launch via Bono’s joyful yelps.
