CBS Sports sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson shut down the concept that Chiefs Patrick Mahomes snubbed Broncos QB Bo Nix after Denver surprised Kansas City with a dramatic 28-24 comeback victory to take first place in the AFC West on Sunday.
Wolfson, who lined the sport for CBS Sports, reshared an X publish from ML Football, which is a social media sports activities aggregator, that said Mahomes was under hearth for his interplay with Nix after the sport
“This is absolutely not true,” Wolfson wrote. “I was proper there and Nix was on the other facet of area when sport ended and celebrating and took a while to get to Mahomes.
“They had a long conversation with Mahomes and Nix both showing respect for each other.”
That publish by ML Football has since been deleted.
Mahomes and Nix were smiling and speaking before they shook arms and hugged, as seen in a video by CBS News Colorado.
“I was scared to death when you got the ball back,” Nix, who completed 20 of 32 for 222 yards with two TDs and no interceptions, informed Mahomes during their interplay.

His spouse, Brittany Mahomes, took to social media to air her frustration at the refs over the false begin call.
“You can’t tell me you call that on the game winning TD, oh wait yeah I can cause it’s us,” she wrote on a black display screen, alongside with a smiling face emoji. “That was the weakest call I have ever seen, you can’t tell me otherwise.”
The Chiefs made self-inflicted errors before the late penalty call.

They blew a double-digit lead in the second half that allowed the Broncos to rating two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to take the lead.
“Obviously a big win,” Denver coach Sean Payton said after his 2 hundredth profession victory. “And I’m proud of the grit.”
The Broncos play the Panthers in Charlotte Sunday, while the Chiefs host the Jets in Kansas City.
